Peter Schwanitz of PHILIPP Forstwerkzeuge was on the INDEXATOR Rotator Systems stand to tell our customers about the new XR rotators.
The XR-series consists of compact, high-performing, optimally constructed rotators for extreme applications with very high and specific requirements with regard to rotator function. This series embodies the experience gained from over forty years of rotator manufacture and the latest findings in surface machining. The XR-series combines rotators and slew base bearings for a convincingly high performance level and long service life. The series ranges from the XR 300 of 300kN to the XR 600 with a maximum static load of 850kN (or 9 t, 20 t, 25 t dynamic load).
One new arrival was also presented in the XR 350, a compact mid-weight version with a static load of 450 kN and a dynamic load of 15 t.
Other very interesting new rotators were the XR 400 E HT and XR 600 E with current transmission. Both have 3 x 2.5 mm2 for 240V, 60 A as well as 4 x 0.25 mm2 2 A data cables, which means that large electromagnets and many other items of equipment can also be operated. The rotators also have four rotating unions of large cross-sections for additional hydraulic functions such as grapple saws. The two rotators also have a 5-mm rotating union for central lubrication or oil leakages.
On all XR rotators, the motor “floats” in the housing, which means it is uncoupled from the bearing. This means that components can also be replaced independently of each other for much longer service times and far greater economy.
In the case of the XR 400 HAT, the motor of the XR 600 has been given a torque of 7000 Nm. This makes it an extremely compact power pack with higher holding forces.
OilQuick has developed a quick release for handling machines for the new XR 400 E and XR 600 E that can be used to replace tools such as orange peel grapples with magnets or clamshells with roundwood grapples in seconds. The carrying capacity of the complete solution is 15 t or 26 t.
The versatile HULTDINS MultiGrip grapples were presented on the Kinshofer stand together with the Kinshofer NOX Tilt Rotator. The HULTDINS MultiGrip grapples are used to transport and position roundwood, kerb stones, railway sleepers, tracks, supports and much more with absolute precision. They are designed for the rigid attachment to and the high forces acting on excavators.
The market-leading HULTDINS grapple saws were displayed on Westech, Kinshofer, MVD and Dorfmeister felling grapples.
