CLARK TRACKS tracks: Soft soils
Super Flotation 15 (SFL15)
Super Flotation 15 (SFL15) is a wider version of FL15. The plates extend beyond the joining links. On their sides, the plates present a flat profile with a slight inward curve. This helps to increase the soil contact surface and minimise damage to root collars. With its double edges, the U- profile also provides for good traction. It is suitable for harvesters and forwarders handling payloads up to 15 t. The track is ideal for work on marshy ground. It is not ideal, however, for frequent use on recreational footpaths or in deep snow.
Super Flotation 16 (SFL16)
Super Flotation 16 (SFL16) is a wider version of FL16. Projecting beyond the joining links, the plates present a flat end with a slight inward curve. This serves to protect root collars during thinning work. With its double edges, the U-profile provides for good traction. SFL16 is designed for large harvesters and forwarders handling payloads greater than 14 t.
All Terrain Flotation (ATF)
All Terrain Flotation (ATF) is a track providing both excellent traction and good flotation. The 90 mm wide plate presents a V channel along its centre. It therefore provides excellent grip on steep slopes under the traction and braking forces. The sides present straight edges and a large surface 120 mm wide. The gently curving side minimises damage to root collars during thinning work. There is standard width and an extended version with 900 mm plate available.
