HULTDINS timber grapples: SuperGrip II Standard
HULTDINS SuperGrip II Standard is the timber grapple for most uses on timber harvesting and transport machinery.
Its geometry is “CHARACTERISTICALLY HULTDINS ”; in other words, the closing timber grapple automatically rolls the logs into position and aligns them. This timber grapple achieves an excellent filling ratio, and the closing forces are highly balanced over the whole gripping area and movements. SuperGrip II timber grapples are the result of ninety years’ experience in forest machinery and timber grapple manufacture. The top section is cut out of and shaped from a single piece of high grade structural steel. This is then welded to form a closed, torsion resistant “box”. Also installed is a highly robust parallel tie of solid material. The cylinder is well protected, and there is an additional moving piston rod cowl available as an option.
The sizes SG II 260, 300, and 360 are the right choice for small and midsized forwarders. Presenting an aperture 1886 mm wide, SG II 360 is also the right timber grapple for lighter, truck mounted short timber cranes, e.g. Loglift 96-118 or Epsilon M100, M110.
SG II 420 is the right size for short timber trucks operating a more powerful crane, e.g. Loglift 125, 140, 165, Epsilon M120–M130, or Q150. Presenting a huge cross sectional area of practically 0.65 m2, SG II 520 is the high performance tool for short timber vehicles loading mainly 2–5 m of timber or more powerful cranes handling large quantities of softwood sections, e.g. Loglift 165, Epsilon Q180L.
