INDEXATOR forestry rotators: Harvesters

Harvester forestry rotators are subjected to huge loads.

Falling trees cause heavy vibrations and extreme shock loads. At the same time, the harvester head acceleration induces large traction and braking forces on the forestry rotator. It comes as no surprise, therefore, that INDEXATOR is the predominant manufacturer of harvester forestry rotators. Harvester forestry rotators do not feature any additional hydraulic channels. There are connections to the rotary functions on the top and bottom. The models without the “A” in their designations also come with a facility for connecting rotary functions to the side (radially) of the flange.

The model H121 matches the swing damper MPB-1, and the models H122, H132, H152, H172, and H182 match the larger MPB-2 swing damper. An H forestry rotator with MPB brake presents the best solution for harvesters. The AV12-S, AV14-S, and AV17-S harvester versions are durable rotators of long service life. The swing brakes available for these forestry rotators, however, do not achieve the braking performance and service life of the INDEXATOR MPB dampers.
