Transporting wood in winter is a challenge for professionals. Good anti-skid chains help to “keep the blood pressure in balance”.
Today we present special anti-skid chains for off-road use. The areas of application are mobile chippers, long and short timber trucks and mobile excavators.
NORDCHAIN chains, better known under their former brand name Gunnebo, are made of boron steel and are tempered in a complex process. The high surface hardness of at least 700 Hv, combined with high toughness, ensures a long service life.
Mobile excavators are often used on cable cranes for processing and sorting. When snow falls, it quickly turns to ice on the storage yard and there is no support on the circular paths.
With the NORDCHAIN Grip +9 EXC this is no problem. The 9 mm spikes bite into the ice and ensure full control.
The chain is easy to install, a possible intermediate ring between the wheels does not disturb. The running net is hung together without tools and tensioned laterally.
When transporting timber, a quick and easy installation as well as good traction are the most important criteria when selecting the optimum anti-skid chains.
Grip +Z8 truck chains 8 mm with spikes provide superior grip and are easy to fit.
The spiked links lie flat with the back of the tyre to prevent the links from turning or slipping.
The vertical spikes on the front and rear of the link provide excellent grip and protect the chain from abrasion. On snowy and icy forest roads this provides great safety. Even on clayey ground the chains will bring you forward.
The ultimate for trucks in off-road use, on snowy and icy mountain roads and everywhere else where there is no other way through.
The 8 mm square links are arranged in a double Z pattern, U-spikes are arranged on the horizontal links.
It is a particularly robust chain for the very difficult tasks and total pulling weights up to 100 t.
