INDEXATOR swivels
Modern hydraulic hoses can withstand high loads induced e.g. by pressure pulses and tight bending radii. What it cannot deal with is torsion, in other words when the hose is twisted in a 90° plane to its longitudinal axis. INDEXATOR swivels are the ideal solution for eliminating torsion on hoses and hence premature hose failure. INDEXATOR swivels ensure that the hose can rotate freely, even under high pressure, making possible the use of short hoses and compact installation chambers. The hydraulic hoses’s service life is therefore multiplied at constantly moving components.
INDEXATOR can look back on sixty years of experience in the manufacture of swivels. INDEXATOR swivels enjoy a good reputation and have gained a large market share particularly in the forestry and timber transport sectors, where the loads are high and the environment difficult. Many major (OE) manufacturers such as CAT, John Deere, Komatsu, Palfinger, Epsilon, Loglift, and Mesera include INDEXATOR in their original equipment.
INDEXATOR swivels are available in two versions that differ in their bearings:
- IDL with ball bearing
- K100 with plain bearing
With its compact size and wide range of thread and sealing options, IDL is a ubiquitous product on the market.
K100 – The new series
K100 is the modern swivel from INDEXATOR that in addition can take up higher radial forces. K100 is our recommendation for all mobile applications where swivels are subjected to lateral forces, e.g. from horizontal hose installations.
The K100 series benefits at a glance:
